When do we celebrate Remembrance Day?

Remembrance Day is celebrated on the 11th November and marks the end of the First World War at 11 am on the 11th month in 1918. It's held at this time and date as a moment of silence to remember the people who died in the war. During this time, it's tradition to wear a poppy as this is a sign of Remembrance Day, as poppies were regularly seen growing during the First World War in the fighting fields.

Using these Remembrance Day activities for kids is a great way to help students commemorate the event.
