Speech and Language Resources to Improve Communication Skills

All of these speech and language resources are designed to improve communication skills. The ability to communicate with others is a key part of our lives. These teacher-made speech and language resources are the ideal tool to improve speech, language and communication skills in young learners. Communication skills allow kids to express their thoughts, feelings and needs to others which improves their social skills and wellbeing - two key factors in any young persons' development. Helpful resources for Speech, Language and Communication Needs

When it comes to communication, it’s important to note that communication skills aren’t always directing linked with speech. We communicate in a number of ways, such as body language, facial expressions, written and sign language.

  • ‘Why’ and ‘Because’ Question Scene Cards - this engaging resource offers a set of 7 ‘why’ questions with a selection of multiple choice picture answers. It has been designed by our team of experienced teachers and talented illustrators to support and develop the understanding of the question word ‘why’.
