Ideas for Getting Started with our Road Safety Games for Children

Get started with our Road Safety Maze game which gets children to plot a safe route to school from home by going via the safety features like zebra crossings.

This Road Sign Matching game is a way of teaching the different road sings to children - what they look like and what they mean to drivers. It will help children to become aware of and understand the roads and pavements. For another dimension - ask children to spot these signs when they’re out in the car with family. Giving them a bingo style card of what to look out for will get them used to looking about them on the roads and will help them understand how drivers might behave - long before they are drivers themselves.

If you’re looking for a Road Safety game for the whole class to do together then try this multiple choice Road Safety quiz for the interactive whiteboard. Children could answer in teams - expand the challenge by including extra tasks like the fastest to sort the Matching Cards, or the first to plot a safe route through the maze. The teams could nominate a team member for these additional challenges.
