KS2 Bronze Age Activities for learning and teaching

Here you’ll find some hands-on Bronze Age activities for you and your pupils to support your planning and teaching. You'll find:

• A lesson plan template -this is designed to help you to develop a lesson plan to suit your learning objectives, mixed ability class needs and required links to the national curriculum.
• A Bronze Age Topic KWL Grid- to help children organise their knowledge, knowledge gaps and research aims.
• A themed, illustrated research map for pupils - extend this activity by getting children to use different sources to find information. Refer to books, the school library, discussions with other pupils about what they have found out, use the internet to look at both primary and secondary sources. Children can make a point of including the location of their sources on their research maps.
• Bronze Age Timeline ordering activity

The National Curriculum for England suggests studying Bronze age religion, technology and travel as part of the development of a chronological understanding of changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.
